George Smith is one of the eight elders at LRCC. He is pictured here with his wife, Susan.
I was born and raised in San Francisco and attended schools there until I entered the
military where I met my wife, Susan. We were married in 1970 and have 5 grown children.
I have worked for the United States Postal Service for 35 years. We met the Lord in 1975
in Pacifica, California. From there we attended Open Bible Church in Fair Oaks, California.
In the mid-80s, we moved to Browns Valley where we presently reside.
We have been with Loma Rica Community Church since 1988 to the present. I have served two
terms as a deacon and now hold the office of elder. The ministries my wife and I have been
involved with include Evangelism Explosion and Covenant Relationship Groups. I have also
been with the Brothers Group for eight years as well as other ministries.
My interests besides church ministry include camping, hiking, gardening and reading.
Our church motto is to know Christ and make Him known. That is our goal in life.
