I was born a male, still am, in 1953.  Graduated from Castro Valley High School in January of 1971, yes, I graduated early.  Hated high school, but have been going to college my entire adult life.  Went into the Air Force September 1971 and was a B-52 mechanic, served in operation Bullet Shot in 1972-73 as an assistant crew chief.  Received the Air Force Commendation Medal for service and knowledge of the aircraft for a flight in December of 1972, during Hanoi Bombings.  Honorably discharged in June of 1975.

Went to work for the V.A.Hospital and began attending Chabot Junior College first at the Hayward campus and then at the Livermore campus. Was  hired on at the U.S. Post Office and later transferred to Colusa Post Office then Marysville Post Office, continued with college at Yuba and Butte, earned 119 units.  Was appointed Postmaster of North San Juan Post Office in February 1982 and later worked into building maintenance at Marysville Post Office; where I eventually took care of 63 outside offices.  This completed my thirty – seven years of federal employment in 2008.  I became a licensed B General contractor  in 2004 prior to leaving the post office.

Rode saddle broncs throughout California, Nevada, and lower Oregon from the early 80’s to Courtney was born in 1991.  Went to the state finals and finished 12th in the state.

Served on Yuba County School Board for two terms during the 1980’s and early 1990’s, did not run a third term.   Served as president of the Foothill Citizens Association in the early 90’s.  Served as a volunteer chaplain with Sierra Nevada Hospital one Saturday a month sometimes more, for just over five years.  I have served representing Loma Rica Community Church at Twin Cities Rescue Mission since Jim Manning retired from the mission nearly four years ago. I recently have been certified as a pastor with Loma Rica Community Church and commissioned pastor of Smartsville Community Church.

Began seminary with Trinity Bible College and Theological Seminary in Newburgh Indiana in 2005 and I am still taking classes for my Bachelors degree.  I enjoy distance learning for the time it has afforded me to dig deeper and wider than I would have in most regular classroom situations.  I plan on continuing even after my bachelors.

Married Janet in 1990, had Courtney a year later and they still put up with me.  I had my son Jason in 1974 when I was married to my high school sweetheart.  We separated after I got out of the service.  I then married my neighbor whose husband had abandoned her and her children and raised my step children. My daughter Wendi lives in Loma Rica and my son Dustin lives in Redding. Vicki and I were married for thirteen years until the children were out of school.

I came back to the Lord on October 26, 1991, the day Courtney was born and have not regretted one step.  I am doing all I know to be as obedient as I can be.  In between all of this are a whole bunch of stories.
