Did you know that God loves you? God loves you so much …”that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Are you willing to receive His wonderful, free gift of eternal life? Here are a few things to consider…

Understand that you are a sinner
Regardless of how good a life we attempt to live, we still miss the mark because we are all sinners. The Bible says that “all of us have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). In order to fulfill God’s purpose in our lives, we need Jesus Christ.

Hear the Good News that Jesus paid the price for your sins
The Good News is that God showed His love for us by sending Jesus, His only Son, to die in our place so that we may be redeemed of our sins and have everlasting life. In Romans 5:8 the Bible tells us, “But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while were still sinners”.

Turn away from your sins
The Bible tells us in Acts 3:19 that we should “Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord”. Repent means to turn away from sin and earnestly change our direction in life. Don’t run away from God, but run towards Him and receive His love and forgiveness. God is faithful, and He will forgive us and wash us clean from everything that we have ever done wrong in our lives.

Allow Jesus Christ into your heart and follow Him
Becoming a Christian is not simply just going to church on Sunday. Rather, you must allow Jesus Christ into your heart and for Him to be the center of your life. Jesus said, “Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in…” (Revelation 3:20). God has promised us a new life for we are new creatures in Christ filled with His love, joy and peace as we seek Him and transform our character to be more like His.

Read God’s Word to grow and be nourished
God gave us His book, the Bible, that provides us with vital truths and guidance on how to live a life that is pleasing to Him. As a Christian, we can live in victory through life’s challenges as we feed on God’s Word for encouragement and comfort. Scripture provides us with the wisdom and guidance we need to handle the obstacles, temptations or challenges that we all encounter each day.

Is Jesus your Lord and Savior?
If you would like to receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to read aloud the following prayer: Father God, I bring myself to You just as I am knowing that you have forgiven me for my sins and washed me clean through Your Son, Jesus Christ. I believe that Jesus took my sin upon Himself and died on the cross for me. I also believe that He was raised from the dead on the third day and rose to Heaven, giving me victory and power over Satan. Jesus, I receive You into my heart and ask you to be the center of my life. Help me to know You through Your Word and the Holy Spirit. There is much to learn and understand about walking with You as a Christian, but I know You will help me to grow and mature in my faith as well as transform my life to reflect more of You in all that I do. Thank you God for Your awesome love and grace and the gift of eternal life. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen. If you have just prayed to receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, please let us know. We would like to include you in our prayers and help you begin your new life as a fellow believer in the Lord Jesus!
